You can set an upper price limit, lower price limit and/or price change to trigger an alert message.
Please use decimal format as shown in the following examples.
Check Enable to activate each alert.
Click Save Changes.
Edit Watch List will indicate which market alerts have been activated.
Click Edit Watch List to make changes to your watch list.
Additional Notes
Set market price alerts here to notify you online via a text message or email, when your selected symbols hit an upper or lower price limit, or they hit the price change amount. Message delivery type is selected when you configure your Contact Devices using the "Contact Devices" menu item on the left side of the screen. To assign which Contact Device(s) receive Market Alerts, use the "Assign Contact Devices" menu item on the left side of the screen. View alerts online via the "View Alerts" button at the top of the page. Alerts can be manually deleted on the "View Alerts" page. If not manually deleted, Market Alerts are purged once they are three days old.
To set alerts, enter the values for the Upper Price Limit, Lower Price Limit, or Price Change in the boxes above. All values are Decimal, without any special characters such as $ or '. For alerting purposes, Price Change values are compared against the Previous value provided by the Exchange at the start of a trading session. The Upper Price Limit values are compared against the High value. The Lower Price Limit values are compared against the Low value. You are not required to set all values for a symbol. To enable the alert, check the Enable checkbox.
Note that you will only receive a maximum of one alert of each type, per symbol, per trading session, regardless of market volativity. If you configure an alert mid-trading session, and that alert criteria has already been matched during that session, you will get an immediate alert. This serves as a reminder that you may need to re-adjust your Alert Criteria settings so that you will not always get an alert every session.
Click Save Changes when you are finished. When complete, you may click Edit Watch List to add or change your Watch List symbols.
