Running Other JVMs

A Java Virtual Machine (JVM) must be installed to use DTN Instant®.

Sun™ Java Virtual Machine is the recommended JVM.

JVM Version

You can manually check which JVM is installed on your system from Internet Explorer:

1. Select Tools > Internet Options.

2. Click the Advanced tab.

3. Scroll down to Java to view which JVM and version is installed.
   
   

Download Latest Sun Java Virtual Machine

If you attempt to access DTN Instant with no JVM installed or an old JVM, a message will appear informing you to download the latest version.

Click the Install button to download and install the latest version. (This is a free download.)

Running Other JVMs

DTN Instant may run using JVMs other than the Sun Java Virtual Machine. However, DTN® has not tested and does not support other JVMs.

If you have difficulty accessing data from DTN Instant using a different JVM, we recommend the following procedure:

1. Remove the current JVM.

2. Reconnect to DTN Instant.

3. Install Sun Java Virtual Machine.
